Ka-Pow!
This is how scientists believe our own moon was formed. A planet, the size of Mars, slammed into Earth and spewing our crust into orbit. This leftover "shocked rock" pulled itself into a sphere becoming our romantic neighbor. Fantastic event and a great image!
