The planets are in the order
M-ercury,
V-enus,
E-arth,
M-ars,
J-upiter,
S-aturn,
U-ranus,
N-eptune,
P-luto.

An easy way to remember the order, is the following sentence that has the same letters as the order of the planets.

"My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets".
