A few years back i had a close encounters of the fifth kind.
They said that they where a species called zoka, and they wanted to keep in contact with me, so they offered to upload software to my computer that will enable me to receive their signal through our own satellites which is already pointed towards space.
their home planet is located in the sirius star cluster, And that's a long way away, and when the sun is in the way, the signal drops.
Making it hard to communicate with the zokarians.
Zoka's are very intelligent, but even with their redirecting "satellites" scattered throughout space, there's not always a clear path to relay the signal all the way to earth.
